Urgent Hurricane Irma Update
The EHS Today team has been tracking Hurricane Irma for the past several days and the anticipated impact this weather event could have on Atlanta, the location of the Safety Leadership Conference. Weather forecasts now are predicting that Irma will remain a tropical storm as it travels north through the Atlanta area, creating conditions that could lead to heavy rain, high winds and possibly, tornadoes.
After much discussion, we have determined the safest course of action is to reschedule the Safety Leadership Conference. Your safety is our greatest concern, and we cannot guarantee that Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irma won’t create safety or travel concerns for SLC attendees, speakers and sponsors.
We regret the late notice – unavoidable given the nature of these weather events - and our team is working directly with the hotel on the best way to handle your rooms and will send you further communication once we have more information.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and 800-927-5007 with any questions you may have.
Thanks, EHS Today
